Cancer affects more than just the body – it can shake your sense of self, your emotional balance, and your nervous system. This gentle, supportive workshop offers a space to reconnect, release fear, and build your emotional toolkit for recovery.
Join trauma-informed coach and long-time Sussex Cancer Fund friend Sarah Hurst for “Take Back Your Power” – a 2.5-hour in-person session designed specifically for individuals navigating cancer and its aftermath. Whether you're newly diagnosed, in treatment, or in recovery, this workshop is for you.
What You’ll Gain
The session includes guided meditation, nervous system regulation techniques, breathwork, journaling exercises, and compassionate peer connection. You’ll leave feeling calmer, more empowered, and more connected to yourself and others.
About Sarah Hurst
Sarah is a trauma-informed coach and touch therapist with a special interest in supporting individuals through and beyond cancer. She specialises in emotional empowerment and nervous system regulation – helping people reconnect with themselves after trauma.
Sarah is also a proud Ambassador for the Sussex Cancer Fund, a regular speaker, and a dedicated fundraiser. Her own life experiences and professional expertise combine to offer a warm, relatable, and safe space for all who attend her workshops.

Unlawful resale (or attempted unlawful resale) of a ticket is grounds for seizure or cancellation of that ticket without refund or other compensation. It is your responsibility to ascertain whether an event has been cancelled and the date and time of any rearranged event. If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, we will use reasonable endeavours to notify ticket holders of the cancellation. We do not guarantee that ticket holders will be informed of such cancellation before the date of the event.
